*Unfortunately, this trip is no longer offered at the moment, but how about this alternative:

Day 1: Individual arrival in Mellenthin

We set off in the early hours of the morning on Sunday. The journey was completely relaxed, so we made a stopover in Rostock. The city is very beautiful and has a nice old town - and we had a short break from driving.

In the early afternoon, we arrived at the water castle in Mellenthin. We were thrilled. The castle is beautiful. We were given a very warm welcome and ordered a waffle in the castle garden - made to our own recipe. It tasted wonderful after the long drive. After unpacking our suitcases and exploring the hotel, we went into the village, visited the church and in the evening we enjoyed dinner in the castle.

Day 2: Excursion to Swinemünde, approx. 60 km

The sun was shining and we were looking forward to a great bike tour after a good night's sleep and a delicious breakfast in the conservatory. Today we headed to the Baltic seaside resorts. The first destination of the day was Bansin. We were thrilled by this beautiful place. The first thing we did was lie down on the beach and enjoy the peace and quiet and the sun because, despite the peak season, the place was not overcrowded.

Bansin

After a nice rest, we continued via Heringsdorf and Ahlbeck to Swinemünde. The town is much larger than the German towns. There were very large hotels and several shopping centers. It was really nice to see the beach while cycling, there was a kind of spa park with lots of flowers in front of it, followed by the cycle path and the footpath. No one bothered anyone else. This is very well regulated there.

After an extensive stay in Swinemünde, we cycled back to Mellenthin through many fields. As we were so impressed by Bansin, we drove there again in the evening, ate a pizza and ended the day with a walk along the beautiful promenade.

Day 3: Excursion to Ueckermünde, approx. 65 km + boat trip

On this day, we had to hurry with breakfast, which was again deliciously prepared. As there was no longer a ferry connection, the Radweg-Reisen office in Constance had organized a cab ride for us. We were supposed to be in Usedom town at 09:30, which meant we had to set off at 09:00. When we arrived in Usedom, the cab was already waiting for us. As always, everything was well organized. The cab driver took us on a tour of Usedom and showed us the sights, then he took us to Anklam. We continued on by bike.

We rode through a beautiful nature reserve. We met very few people and were able to enjoy the peace and quiet. We were able to observe birds and beautiful landscapes. This was the most beautiful part of the trip for us. We drove as far as Ueckermünde. We made lots of stops in between because it was so beautiful there.

From Ueckermünde, a ferry sailed to Kamminke. Loading the bikes went really well and we were able to enjoy the boat trip.

After that, we headed back to Mellenthin via Kutzow, Bossin and Dargen. We had discovered a fish palace while cycling past in Neppermin and went there for dinner in the evening. The fish was delicious and there was a great view of the Achterwasser. We sat in the beach chair and it was a lovely day.

Day 4: Mellenthin - Wolgast, approx. 45 km

Today was the first day on which we were to change hotels. We left our suitcases ready for collection at reception and were able to enjoy the fantastic breakfast buffet once again. Then we were off. On this day, we cycled along the Baltic Sea again. We cycled along beautiful forest paths and always had the Baltic Sea in view. In between, we lay down on the beach and enjoyed the peace and quiet.

We made another stop in Zinnowitz. There you could visit a diving gondola and we had a coffee. We continued on to Trassenheide. This is also a small town well worth a visit and we crossed the Peene Bridge to Wolgast. The small Hotel Speicher was booked for us. The hotel only had nine rooms and we were given an apartment with a living room, bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. It was great and we had a fantastic view. Of course, our suitcases were already waiting for us. We had a look around the small town and enjoyed dinner in the attic.

Day 5: Excursion to Peenemünde, approx. 35 km

The small hotel had a lovely breakfast buffet, with scrambled or fried eggs prepared individually. We drove back to the Baltic Sea beach through the beautiful seaside resorts of Trassenheide and Karlshagen.

We enjoyed the sun on the beach and then headed towards Peenemünde. The historical-technical museum and the submarine museum were well worth a visit. We spent some time there.

Later, we took the ferry to Freest. Admission tickets and vouchers for the ferry were already included in the travel documents, so everything was perfectly organized. We took a coffee break in the port of Freest and headed back to Wolgast via Kröslin. We chose a restaurant in Wolgast for dinner and this lovely day also came to an end.

Day 6: Wolgast - Mellenthin, approx. 55 km

Today it was time to pack our bags again and we drove back to Mellenthin after a hearty breakfast. The journey now took us along the Achterwasser via Lassan, Buggenhagen and Usedom to Mellenthin. The route was a little bumpy. The Till Richter Museum in Buggenhagen is highly recommended and Usedom has a very beautiful church. Unfortunately, we couldn't go to the beach, as the route took us more inland, but it did have its charm. We then drove on to Dargen. There is a DDR museum there, which was highly recommended to us. It's really worth stopping there. There is a lot to see.

In the evening, we took the car to Heringsdorf. We also really enjoyed this Baltic seaside resort.

Day 7: Excursion to Lieper Winkel, approx. 35 km

Today was our last planned excursion. After a great breakfast buffet, a back massage was on the agenda today - it was very relaxing after all the cycling. Today we only had a short route on our program.

The Lieper Winkel is really an insider tip. We had our swimsuits with us again. We cycled along sandy country lanes, but it was worth it. There are several small bays at Lieper Winkel. We lay there all alone and enjoyed the sound of the waves of the Achterwasser. We drove back along paved roads. We ended our vacation at Neppermin's Fischpalast again.

A wonderfully relaxing vacation came to an end.
