From 11.06.22- 18.06.22 we went on our honeymoon on the MS Fluvius from Amsterdam to Bruges.
Together with our best men and our bikes in tow, we boarded the ship, where we were welcomed and warmly looked after from the very first minute. Even the captain helped us carry our suitcases.

Our first trip of this kind began.
We enjoyed the sun and our coffee on deck and watched with excitement as we passed through 2 locks.
On arrival in Vianen, an excellent 3-course meal awaited us. Afterwards, we discussed our first bike tour, which lay ahead of us the following day. We were given important tips, as the four of us would be traveling without a guide.

On day 2 after a delicious breakfast and packed lunch, we set off in the direction of Kinderdijk.
The weather was very kind to us and we cycled to the many mills in high spirits. It was simply fantastic. One photo opportunity followed the next. We were simply fascinated.
We rested at the edge of the meadow and feasted on the food we had taken with us in the sunshine not far from the cycle path.
It is also worth mentioning, however, that we don't own any e-bikes and pedaled briskly to Ablassadam to the catamaran, which sailed with us to Dortrecht. Once there, we were treated to some super freshly prepared food. We were spoiled.

On day 3 we woke up while our ship was already underway.
Today our cycle tour took us from Tholen to the Krekrak locks.
The cycle paths were excellent and with the help of our great app, which was made available to us, we reached our ship safely and on time. Off we went to Antwerp, the diamond city.

On day 4 of our trip, we conquered Antwerp and then continued our cycle tour, initially on a catamaran.
We cycled along the Scheldt to Sint-Amands, where we enjoyed delicious Belgian beer and a stone artist showed us his treasures. Once we arrived in Dendermonde, we rounded off the evening with a short tour of the town and a wonderful drink on deck.

On day 5 we cycled around 55 km, past summer meadows and fields, explored a great castle in Laarne and arrived tired but happy in the beautiful city of Ghent. There we cruised along the canals, enjoyed the great architecture and the Belgian beer. Once we arrived "home", the ship had become our feel-good place, we were surprised by our captain with a wonderful dance evening.

On day 6 we cycled relaxed from Ghent to Bruges, past strawberry vending machines (terribly tasty). We enjoyed the summer weather every day as we passed through idyllic areas.
On arrival in Bruges, we fortified ourselves on our Fluvius and wandered through cozy alleyways and imposing streets, snacked on delicious Belgian waffles and enjoyed the flair of this sweet city.

Our unfortunately last cycle tour took us to De Haan on the North Sea coast on day 7 in hot summer weather. We cooled off in the sea, which to our great luck awaited us at high tide.
Back on our Fluvius, the captain surprised us once again with a fabulous captain's dinner. It was time to say goodbye to a more than successful bike and boat trip.
The entire crew took care of our needs and well-being for a whole week.
