Let's set off on the first stage of your sporty Allgäu tour by bike. First, you cycle leisurely along the lakeshore to Lindau. Take a stroll through the old town, which is located on an island, and visit the town's landmark - the Lion Monument. You leave Lake Constance and cycle into the enchanting Allgäu region. A few meters in altitude past lush green meadows and grazing cows accompany you on your way to Oberstaufen. Learn more about the production of delicious mountain cheese in a show dairy (not included). Of course, you can also taste it.

This stage of your sporty Allgäu tour begins on flat paths through the valley of the Konstanzer Aach. You cycle past the Großer Alpsee lake to Immenstadt. Affectionately known as Städtle by the locals, you can fortify yourself in a café in the historic town center. Afterwards, you will have to climb a few more meters before you reach the highest point of the tour at Oy-Mittelberg. With magnificent views of the surrounding mountains, you cycle to Füssen. From afar, you can see Neuschwanstein Castle, built high on a mountain.
You cycle along the Forggensee, Germany's largest reservoir, through the beautiful Allgäu countryside. From Marktoberdorf, the route leads through the Kempten forest. You can expect a few meters in altitude again. Once you arrive in Kempten, the efforts of the day are almost forgotten. The lively Roman town is full of life and history. Visit the state rooms of the residence before indulging in local delicacies in one of the many rustic restaurants.
You cycle up to the European watershed between the Rhine and Danube on a disused railroad line. From here, most of the last stage of your sporty Allgäu tour is all downhill. Cycle leisurely through Isny, a town with medieval roots and historic walls. Pass by the traditional town of Wangen with its picturesque old town before crossing Germany's southernmost hop-growing region. You will reach your destination of Kressbronn or Nonnenhorn on beautiful Lake Constance along idyllic paths with numerous orchards.
