Biking takes a back seat on this beach cruise for a change: you are not only on the saddle, but also on foot and in a kayak. Whether it's a city tour, a short hike, a visit to a scented garden or a kayak tour through the Zrmanja Canyon - the program is so varied that there really is something for everyone. Of course, swimming is not neglected on the bathing cruise in Kvarner Bay either: as soon as the ship is anchored, you can jump directly from it into the crystal-clear waves of the Adriatic! The daily excursions on the islands of Kvarner Bay have one thing in common: they are relaxed and can also be managed comfortably by families and inexperienced people. And if you don't feel like going ashore, you can simply stay on board and let the sun shine on your belly button.
The crew of your ship awaits you between 11.00 and 12.30 in the port of Rijeka for your bathing cruise!
You will get to know the crew and fellow travelers over a welcome drink while your romantic motor sailer sets sail for the first time.
On the way, a stop will be made in one of the bays so that you can take that long-awaited, first dip in the sea!
On arrival on the island of Cres, you can join them for a walk by the sea. After dinner, there will be plenty of time for a stroll through the town.
During the crossing to the island of Lošinj, you will observe the passing Kvarner Bay. With a bit of luck, you might spot a group of Adriatic dolphins today, which feel particularly at home around the island of Lošinj.
After lunch on board, you will moor in the port of Mali Lošinj. You can then join the bike tour to the picturesque town of Veli Lošinj. On the way back, you will visit a nearby "Mediterranean Fragrance Garden". During a guided tour, you will learn more about the 250 or so different fragrant plants that grow and thrive in the garden.
Pine forests and spruce trees cover the largely untouched island of Molat, which you can explore today either on an easy hike on foot or a relaxed bike ride on the saddle. You will be back on board in time for lunch.
During the crossing to Zadar, the former capital of Dalmatia, the bathing cruise continues to live up to its name: The anchor is dropped in a bay for an extensive swimming break. Pure vacation! The old town of Zadar, your destination today, is surrounded by mighty walls. During an entertaining city tour, you will learn all kinds of interesting facts about the time-honored buildings and their history.
Today you leave the sea and paddle along the Zrmanja river to the canyon of the same name. A bus transfer will take you to the entry point, where you will also pick up your kayak. The karst river glistens in its typical emerald green color, a wonderful sight! After a few bends and rapids, magical waterfalls await you at one of the most beautiful spots on the river. Splashing around in the water here is a unique experience.
After a picnic, you paddle on through the Zrmanja canyon and can observe the many chirping birds from the water. After the tour, the bus will take you back to your ship in Mandre.
Note: If the water level is very high, the excursion is carried out in large inflatable boats (rafting).
Today you will take a closer look at the island of Pag with its partly barren, partly lush green meadows: more precisely, you will sail to Lun on the north-western tip of the island. A remarkable 80,000 olive trees grow here! And even more impressive: some of them are already around 1200 years old! You will learn all this and more during a guided tour of the grove. After an extensive swimming break, the boat sets sail for Rab. The old town of Rab stretches over an elongated headland. You will recognize the characteristic bell towers of the four churches from afar. If you wish, you can take part in a guided tour of the town's most important buildings.
On Rab, you have various options for exploring the island: Either on an easy bike tour or a mountain hike. Climb Kamenjak, which rises 408 m above the sea, on foot. An impressive panorama opens up from its summit: your gaze wanders over the Kvarner Bay with its islands and nature parks, the small and large towns and the seemingly endless expanse of the Mediterranean.
Back on board, you will immediately head for one of the numerous secluded bays - the bathing cruise lives up to its name on this day of your vacation too! The next destination is the island of Krk, one of the largest islands in the Adriatic. The evening ends with a cozy captain's dinner.
If you wish, you can start the day with a leisurely stroll through the city. As today is your last day on board the ship, a particularly long swimming break is on the agenda. Jump straight from the ship into the crystal-clear waves!
Then set course for Rijeka. Once the ship is safely moored, there is enough time for a hike to the pilgrimage site of Trsat, which is located above the city. The climb up 485 steps is well worth it, as you have a wonderful view of Kvarner Bay and the route of your bathing cruise from the fortress.
