Day 1: Individual arrival in Abano Terme

Day 2: Excursion to the Euganean Hills, approx. 45 km

Your first cycle tour takes you through the scenic Euganean Hills Natural Park, where you’ll ride along gentle mountain ranges, passing historic farms, quaint villages, and towering churches. Your destination is Arquà Petrarca, a charming medieval village that exudes romance and history. Take a relaxing break in one of the cozy cafés and explore the narrow, winding stone alleys that define this picturesque town. Day 3: Excursion to Chioggia, approx. 55 km + bus transfer

Before you hop on your bike today, enjoy a scenic transfer to Chioggia. The town is known as Little Venice for its charming canals, bridges, and small fishing boats that echo the nearby city's atmosphere. A highlight of the town is Corso del Popolo, which the Italian writer Malaparte once described as one big outdoor café. Take a moment to savor an Italian coffee and breathe in the refreshing sea air before your bike tour begins. As you cycle back to Abano Terme, the tranquil Bacchiglione River will accompany you on your way.

Day 4: Excursion to Vicenza, approx. 35 km + train ride

Today's cycle path takes you through lush meadows and expansive fields on your way to Vicenza. Along the route, you’ll once again follow the Bacchiglione River as it winds through small villages, past fertile and colorful inland landscape. As you pass magnificent villas, you’ll arrive in Vicenza, one of the highlights of your center-based tour through Veneto. This artistic city is renowned for the grand buildings designed by the famous architect Palladio. Be sure to visit the Basilica Palladiana, one of Palladio’s masterpieces, built in the 15th century. Its stunning Gothic arches make it one of the most impressive structures in the entire region. After exploring, take the train back to Abano Terme to unwind.

Day 5: Excursion to Padua, approx. 35 km

Today, you’ll cycle just a few kilometers to the historic pilgrimage town of Padua. The cycle path will take you along scenic waterways straight into the heart of the city. Padua is renowned for the Basilica of St. Anthony, a world-famous pilgrimage site, and for being home to one of the oldest universities in Europe, where Galileo Galilei once taught. Take your time to explore the city's many attractions, including the ancient city walls, the iconic Café Pedrocchi, and the stunning Prato della Valle. This short cycling stage gives you ample opportunity to discover all that this vibrant city has to offer!

Day 6: Excursion to Villa dei Vescovi, approx. 30 km

The final stage of your center-based tour in Veneto takes you to the stunning Renaissance Villa dei Vescovi in Torreglia. You’ll cycle along flat paths through the lush, vine-covered hills, with the villa perched on a hilltop, standing out beautifully against the landscape. Once the summer residence of the Bishop of Padua, the villa now offers a serene retreat for all.
