Baltic Sea cycle tour in Poland

You will spend your first night in the port city of Szczecin at the mouth of the Oder river into the Szczecin Lagoon. At 5:30 p.m. you will meet your travel guide and shortly afterwards set off on a city tour. Afterwards, you can take a leisurely stroll through Szczecin's Venice and enjoy the breeze from the nearby Baltic Sea on the Chrobry Embankment, one of the most beautiful places in Europe. Something very special for gourmets are the cellars of the Starka distillery, which produces a unique vodka.

Take the bus to Świnoujście on the Island of Usedom. Explore the green forests of Wollin National Park by bike. From the pier of the old spa town of Międzyzdroje, you can look out over breathtaking cliffs during a break. Past idyllic lakes that lie like drops in the dense forests, you reach your destination for the day. From the upper platform of the Piast Tower, you have a great view of Kamień Lagoon.

In Kamień Pomorski, there is enough time for an extensive tour of the Piast Tower and the Gothic town hall, both in the typical red brick building. You follow the Baltic Sea Cycle Route along the coast. At Hoff, if you look closely, you will see a ruined church on the cliffs. The most beautiful lighthouse in Poland is also on the way. Today, the cycle route takes you between extensive sand dunes and a bird reserve along the shores of the Baltic Sea. You cycle through small villages to Osieki, a picturesque, small community with less than 200 inhabitants. If you stay overnight in Słupsk, you can easily reach the town in the hinterland of the Baltic Sea by transfer.

A transfer in the morning takes you to Ustka. From the summer capital, a popular seaside resort for centuries, you set off in the direction of Łeba. On traffic-free paths, you will enjoy a relaxing ride through the wooded part of the Słowiński National Park before reaching the small fishing village of Kluki, the last place where the West Slavic Slovinja language was spoken before it died out. A short bus ride takes you to your destination for the day.

You will find yourself in the Polish Sahara in the middle of extensive dunes, some of which are moving! Around 10 m of forest is buried by the moving dunes year after year. Łeba lies between two lakes and the Baltic Sea – three bodies of water that invite you to take a dip on your rest day. A walk through the forests of the national park rewards you with birdsong, the scent of pine trees and picturesque moorland.

Today you cycle to the cow's tail of Poland. The Hela peninsula is 34 km long, but only between 0.2 and 3 km wide, hence the name. There are two beaches here where you can bury your toes in the sand. A ferry will take you to your destination of Gdańsk, whose harbor silhouette is unmistakable. The sea god Neptune guards the magnificent Hanseatic city, which can look back on over 1000 years of history.
