The enchanting town of Blois is situated at the heart of the Loire Valley, offering a perfect introduction to the region's rich heritage. In Amboise the royal château towers over the Loire Valley. Nearby just about 500 m further you'll find the Château du Clos Lucé, built from soft pink sandstone. Leonardo da Vinci spent his final years here. You can find his tomb lies within the castle grounds.
As evening falls, take a leisurely stroll through the narrow, winding streets of Amboise's old town. The town is surrounded by steep inclines and steeped in history.

The exhibition offers a glimpse into the Renaissance showcasing goblins from Flanders and paintings by old masters such as Rubens and van Dyck. Take a break in the delightful town of Cellettes, home to the Château de Beauregard. Set amidst a 40-hectar park it used to be a hunting lodge for King Francis I. To this day it boast one of the largest rose gardens of the entire region.
The château’s gallery is equally remarkable, housing 327 portraits that offer a fascinating glimpse into the political landscape across the years 1328 to 1643. Hop back on your bike and cycle through the scenic woodlands of Roussy. Here you'll meet the Loire river which will lead you back to Blois.
The final excursion takes you to one of the most renowned and majestic châteaux in the Loire Valley: Chambord, a true castle of superlatives. When Emperor Charles V visited the still unfinished château, he declared it the epitome of human artistic achievement. Commissioned by King Francis I in 1519, this Renaissance-style masterpiece seamlessly blends feudal architecture with Italian influences. The estate on which Chambord stands is almost as vast as Paris itself, adding to its awe-inspiring presence. After a day of discovery and grandeur, you will return to Blois.
