This bike tour from Bayreuth to Mainz is just right for anyone who wants to be sporty on the road along the Main cycle path. On more than 600 kilometres, you will get to know the Main and its source river Roter Main in its full length. The diverse landscapes, the tranquillity of the river and the culinary delights will delight you. However, the cycling tour should not be underestimated, because the challenge lies in the sometimes energy-sapping lengths of
the stages. This should not be a problem for experienced cyclists, as the cycle path runs almost without any ascents. You start in Kulmbach, where the headwaters of the Red and White Main rivers join to form the Main, and along the way you will get to know the towns of Bamberg, Würzburg, Aschaffenburg, Frankfurt and Mainz, all of which are well worth seeing. In between, you will come across many smaller, but no less worth seeing towns that will impress you in cultural, historical and culinary terms. The cycling tour from Bayreuth to Mainz is therefore perfect for anyone who wants to
explore the Main in all its glory in as short a time as possible. What are you waiting for?
