The Rhine cycle tour in Switzerland is a real insider tip. The journey begins after a transfer from Constance on the picturesque streams of the Vorder Rhine and Hinter Rhine. You will be taken to the heights by bus and train and cycle leisurely downhill through the wonderful landscape. The three breathtaking gorges Roflaschlucht, Viamala and Ruinaulta will also inspire you. Following the Rhine, you cycle through the Principality of Liechtenstein, the fourth smallest state in Europe at 160 square kilometers. After a short detour into Austria, you reach Lake Constance. You cycle at a relaxed pace, mostly along the shore, discovering picturesque villages and towns worth seeing. There is always an opportunity for a dip in the cool waters. One of the highlights of your trip is certainly the Council City of Constance with its beautiful old town and lively harbor.
Welcome to Constance! The largest city on Lake Constance is the ideal starting point for your alpine Rhine bike tour in Switzerland. Whether by bike or on foot - stroll through the narrow streets of the Niederburg, the oldest district of Constance. Take a break at the harbor and watch the turning of the Imperia statue. The ascent to the tower platform of Constance Minster is also worthwhile. There are 193 steps up to a magnificent view over the city and the Lake Constance. If you still have enough time, visit the Sealife Aquarium or the State Archaeological Museum (not included).
