There is only one word to describe the Aeolian Islands. Beautiful! Crystal clear water, dreamlike beaches and steep cliffs characterise these islands, which can only be accessed by boat. With no airport on the islands, or any other mode of transport other than boats, they've managed to make sure that these islands have remained totally unspoiled. In the north of Sicily, you'll enjoy the warm temperature of the water, and be tempted practically all over the place to go in for a swim. The specialities of the Hauner vineyard are very popular souvenirs. Your holiday by bike and boat on the Aeolian Islands will cause you to see Sicily from a different perspective.
The almost 25-m long Kaik Sundial was built in Turkey according to the traditional design, made of pine and mahogany. It was completely renovated in 2012. It accommodates 12 passengers and in addition to the cosy galley has large rooms below deck. The food you'll be served is Mediterranean cuisine. Fresh seafood, vegetables and pasta are on the menu! On deck, you can grab yourself a comfortable beach mattress and listen to the waves or sit back and relax in the lounge area of the Achterdeck.

It is over 2500 years old and is known as the gateway to the Aeolian Islands. These volcanic isles have been a UNESCO world heritage site since 2000. Your crew will welcome you on board from 6.00 pm with a cocktail.
Today, you'll explore Milazzo and the surrounding area on two wheels. The town was founded as early as seven hundred years before Christ. In the older part of town, the upper town, you'll see historically important buildings, such as the Normal castle, which received the appearance it has now from Friedrich II of Aragonia. The Sicilian atmosphere is everywhere, but particularly in the winding old streets of the historic quarter and in the busy harbour. You have time for a swim in the Piscina di Venere.
Your Kaik takes you to the sulphurous island of Vulcano, which according to Roman mythology, represents the seat of the Schmiedgottes Vulcanus. Cycle through spectacular volcanic countryside, with sulphur caves and a wonderful interplay of colour in the stone of this area. There are many ways of exploring this volcanic countryside. A walk to the crater or a bath in the sulphuric mud are particularly popular.
You sail round the smallest of the islands - Panarea - which evolved from a mighty volcanic explosion. There's plenty of time today for swimming. In the afternoon you get to explore Stromboli island by foot. A tour guide takes you to the slopes of a still active volcano. In the evening, from the boat, you can watch the eruptions from the volcano on to Sciara del Fuoco which take the hot lava into the sea.
The boat takes you back to Panarea in the morning. There you can get to know the island on a pleasant walk. Back on board you cross over to Salina. On this island of twin volcanoes, Monte Fossa delle Felci and Monte dei Porri, you visit the vineyard that produces the famous dessert wine, Malvasia delle Lipari. Don't forget to try the freshly harvested capers here.
Starting in the harbour, you’ll explore the island by bike. This, the second largest of the Aeolian Islands, is the only one to feature a freshwater source, which is highlighted by the variety of local flora. Through small villages, you’ll cycle onwards to Rinella. Your caïque will then take you to Lipari, where you will have time to explore the small harbour village under your own steam, before you can enjoy the evening on board.
Today, you’ll explore the island from coast to coast on your bike. You’ll come past seemingly magical villages, old volcanic rock formations and white sandy beaches. These are a consequence of the antique industry, whose pumice vestiges make a mark on today’s landscape. Enjoy Lipari’s historic centre before the caïque takes you back to Milazzo.
Today, your holiday by bike and boat on the Aeolian Islands and Sicily comes to an end. You disembark in the morning and at 9.00 your return transfer to the airport in Catania starts. Even if your holiday here has come to an end, the impressions of the still active volcanoes will be with you for a long time.
