Travel report: Lake Constance short vacation by bike

Booking a short cycling trip spontaneously? Elke and Ralf tell us how they managed to do just that with a "short vacation on Lake Constance"*. They started their trip in Constance and enjoyed a wonderful time on their bikes. They also tell us why they are already looking forward to their next adventure with Radweg-Reisen.

From the idea to the start of the cycle tour:

I, Elke, have already experienced several wonderful vacations with Radweg-Reisen and wanted to share these experiences with my partner Ralf, as we are both enthusiastic cyclists.
After my stories, we decided to book our first tour organized with Radweg-Reisen at the next opportunity. Our decision was made at very short notice and unfortunately we didn't have many free days available.

Short-term decision

We looked for free places a week before the start of our vacation. Among other things, the rally from Constance was still available. Our decision was made and the request was sent out. The answer also came very quickly. The documents were not sent by post due to the short notice of the booking. The documents were left at our first hotel, as promised by e-mail. The trip could begin!

Arrival in Constance & first explorations

We traveled without our bikes and just wanted to try out the rental bikes. We didn't regret it - I bought a new bike after our vacation!
We were greeted and welcomed very warmly at the Hotel Barbarossa. We were able to leave our luggage in our very nice hotel room in the morning so that we could set off by car and pick up our bikes full of anticipation.

Parking & rental bikes

We had booked a parking space for the car directly, which turned out to be a great advantage. The pick-up station for the bikes and the parking lot were only a few meters and minutes apart. We were therefore able to park the car in a secure parking lot and cycle to the hotel with the bikes to put them through their paces. We then went on our first exploratory tour of Constance.

We were very impressed and already knew at this point that we had done everything right to spend a few wonderful days and moments in beautiful Constance and its wonderful surroundings with Radweg-Reisen.

The cycle excursions

The daily destinations were planned by Radweg-Reisen in such a way that you are not preoccupied with: will I reach my destination too?

On the contrary, we had so much time to enjoy the tours. We also had time for ourselves (we always attach great importance to this) and we were able to indulge our taste buds. That's what matters to us on vacation. Of course, we also extended the tours on our own, but just getting the idea and having interesting destinations suggested to us was worth the booking.

Conclusion

We can look back on the wonderful rally in Constance with joy and fond memories and look forward to 2020, when we start the next organized adventure with the Radweg-Reisen team.
