Travel report: Family bike tour on Lake Constance

Our guests Andrea and Arno deliberately opted for the family cycle tour on Lake Constance. On this round trip for connoisseurs, they visited the beautiful cities of Constance, Friedrichshafen, Lindau and Bregenz at a leisurely pace. First of all, we would like to thank you for organizing this wonderful vacation.

As adults of a mature age, we deliberately chose the family tour because we are no longer the youngest, are somewhat untrained in cycling and this was our first cycling tour of this scope.
Thus, it seemed and was the ideal tour. The stages weren't too long and the climbs were manageable. We are "honest cyclists", without electric assistance ;-)
The tour description in the catalog, the organization regarding luggage transport and the hotel reservation testify to a professional approach.

The first day was taken up by the outward journey. But even the journey with our own bikes piggybacked without haste and with breaks. We arrived in Constance at around 6 p.m. and rounded off the day with a hearty dinner and one or two local beers.

On day two, we finally got going!

The same generally applies to the entire trip: Fortified by a good breakfast, we set off at our leisure at around 09:30 each morning. The signposting is almost impossible to miss on the entire tour, so you can ride without a map. We only used the compiled map sections for the exact address/location of the accommodation. Otherwise, the summarized documents are rich in valuable information, tips such as bicycle repair shops, sights, ferry connections ... exemplary prepared.
Due to the short stages we had plenty of time to see the sights. From our point of view, here is a brief list of the most beautiful: Insel Mainau; Meersburg, Pfahlbauten; Insel Lindau; Pfänder; Konstanz ... Partly very beautiful old towns, half-timbered houses, alleys ...

There are always plenty of playgrounds for children. There are also plenty of lidos around Lake Constance.

We have also adapted to the culinary delights of this region and looked outside the box - literally. There was something for every taste.

The contact with the people was positive. Nice and friendly, although certainly sometimes annoyed by the many tourists.

Organizationally, everything went smoothly. The luggage was always in the accommodation in good time, the rooms were clean, breakfast was good, sometimes very good. Certainly, one or two hotels could be deleted from the available options - location of the hotel.
But basically sufficient for an overnight stay.

Thus, it was a successful vacation and we are already thinking about where the next bike tour should take us.
