One of the most beautiful mountain backdrops in Germany awaits you at Königssee.

Day 1: Individual arrival in Lindau

Your sporty cycle holiday in Bavaria begins in Lindau, one of the most beautiful towns on Lake Constance. The historic old town is picturesquely situated on an island and enchants with its winding alleyways, colorful house facades and the magnificent harbor entrance with the lion and lighthouse. Use the time for a walk along the shore or visit the town museum in Cavazzen. In the evening, you can enjoy the regional cuisine in one of the cozy restaurants.

Day 2: Lindau – Oberstaufen, approx. 55 km

From Lindau, you start your first stage in the direction of the Allgäu. You cycle along quiet paths through gently rolling hills, past orchards and meadows. The route takes you through small, idyllic villages that reflect the rural charm of the region. Finally you reach Oberstaufen, a well-known spa town. In addition to a walk through the spa gardens, you can visit the Aquaria adventure pool here, which offers panoramic views and relaxing wellness facilities.

Day 3: Oberstaufen – Nesselwang – Füssen / Schwangau, approx. 75 km

Today, your sporty cycle holiday in Bavaria takes you deeper into the Allgäu. After a climb, you reach the climatic health resort of Nesselwang, known for its mountain scenery and the Alpspitzbahn cable car. A worthwhile stopover is Immenstadt, where you can visit the Alpseehaus, a modern information center with exciting insights into the nature and culture of the region. The journey continues through lush alpine pastures and traditional villages to Füssen. Cultural highlights such as the High Castle and the world-famous royal castles of Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau await you here. Schwangau also offers numerous refreshment stops with regional specialties.

Day 4: Füssen – Murnau am Staffelsee, approx. 70 / 75 km

After a last look at the royal castles, you cycle through the Ammergebirge towards Murnau. The route takes you across the picturesque Forggensee lake and along the Ammer river to Bad Kohlgrub. Another highlight is the famous Wieskirche, a rococo jewel and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Shortly before Murnau, the impressive Murnauer Moos, one of the largest contiguous moorland areas in Central Europe, awaits you with its unique flora and fauna. Once you arrive in Murnau am Staffelsee, an idyllic small town with artistic flair awaits you. Enjoy the view of the Staffelsee or explore the Murnau Castle Museum.

Day 5: Murnau am Staffelsee – Schliersee, approx. 85 km

This stage takes you through the foothills of the Bavarian Alps. You cycle along the Isar through the charming town of Bad Tölz, with its historic market street and special flair. It's worth taking a break here before continuing towards Tegernsee. Once there, enjoy the magnificent view and the tranquillity of the lake in Gmund. Continue to Schliersee, one of the most famous lakes in the region, surrounded by impressive mountains.

Day 6: Schliersee – Chiemsee, approx. 70 / 75 km

Today's section of your sporty cycle holiday in Bavaria takes you through the Bavarian Alpine foothills to the "Bavarian Sea", Lake Chiemsee. On the way, you cycle through Bad Feilnbach, known as the gateway to the Wendelstein, and the impressive peat mining area of Bavaria, a unique natural experience. A worthwhile stopover is Neubeuern, with its historic market square and picturesque alleyways. The Chiemsee itself impresses with its islands, especially the Herreninsel with the magnificent Herrenchiemsee Castle. A boat trip to the islands offers a welcome change of pace.

Day 7: Chiemsee – Berchtesgaden / Königssee, approx. 90 – 110 km

The last stage of your journey is challenging, but rewards you with magnificent views. You cycle through the Berchtesgadener Land region, past meadows and hills. Berchtesgaden welcomes you with its historic town center. The Königssee, embedded in a spectacular mountain backdrop, is the crowning glory of your trip. Take a boat trip to the pilgrimage church of St. Bartholomä or enjoy the tranquillity of the lake.

Day 8: Individual departure
