Day 1: Individual arrival in Weimar
Names such as Goethe, Schiller and Liszt, as well as influential women such as Duchess Anna Amalia, still characterize the cultural city of Weimar today. Goethe's residence on the Frauenplan, Belvedere Castle and the state Bauhaus from 1919 are landmarks of the city that are well worth a visit. You can experience opera, drama and dance up close in the evening at the Deutsches Nationaltheater.

Day 2: Excursion to Erfurt, approx. 60 km
On the way to the Thuringian state capital of Erfurt, you cycle through the Weimar hinterland. Erfurt awaits you with an old town that is one of the best preserved in Germany. St. Mary's Cathedral and St. Severi's Church as well as the built-up Krämerbrücke bridge are among its landmarks. A visit to ega Park, one of the largest flower and garden parks in Germany, is also worthwhile. Cycle back to Weimar on the Thuringian cities long-distance cycle route.

Day 3: Excursion through the Ilm valley, approx. 65 km
Your centre based tour around Weimar takes you from Weimar through the romantic Ilm valley. You first cycle along the Ilm to Bad Berka. Public Kneipp pools invite you to tread water in the spa town. Refreshed, you continue to Kranichfeld, which boasts a castle and a fortress. Enjoy a picnic in the beautiful surroundings or take a canoe tour on the Hohenfelden reservoir before returning to Weimar.
