Welcome to your journey by boat and bike on the Middle Rhine! This section of the river, in particular the Upper Middle Rhine Valley, stretches between the Hunsrück and Taunus mountains and welcomes visitors with extensive vineyards, large wooded areas, medieval towns and numerous castles and fortresses. Speaking of castles and fortresses: seemingly countless of them are lined up along the Rhine between your starting point of Koblenz and Mainz, the destination of your journey by boat and bike on the Middle Rhine. Among others, Stolzenfels Castle, Rheinfels Castle and Pfalzgrafenstein Castle will catch your eye. Not forgetting the Loreley Rock near St. Goar, which lends the Rhine a legendary quality as a unique and culturally extremely rich cultural landscape. Other highlights of your journey by boat and bike on the Middle Rhine are the old cathedral cities of Mainz and Worms. Culinary delights will not be boring either. Not only because your trip includes full board, but also because the Middle Rhine, Rheingau and Rheinhessen wine regions along your itinerary produce sparkling wines that you can sample in many wine taverns.

The starting point alternates between Koblenz and Mainz. Available dates are shown in the booking form.

The first cycle tour of your journey by boat and bike on the Middle Rhine takes you south along the Rhine. On the way, it is worth taking a first break at Stolzenfels Castle. It towers above the Rhine and is a good example of the Rhine Romanticism that emerged in the 19th century. After enjoying the view of the Rhine and the surrounding area, you continue to your destination for the day, Boppard. This wine-growing town is located on the largest loop of the Rhine.

According to legend, the beautiful Loreley once lured the Rhine boatmen to their doom with her singing. A few kilometers further on you reach Oberwesel.
