Day 1: Individual arrival in Udine

Your journey begins in the charming university city of Udine. After your arrival, you will have time to explore the old town with its magnificent squares, such as the Piazza della Libertà. The Venetian-influenced architecture and the imposing castle of Udine offer an atmospheric ambience. Enjoy a glass of regional wine in one of the cozy cafés before getting in the mood for the upcoming biketour in Friuli.

Day 2: Udine – San Daniele del Friuli, approx. 45 km

The first stage takes you into the hilly landscape north of Udine. On the way, it is worth stopping off at the Castello di Colloredo di Monte Albano, a picturesque castle with fascinating architecture. The charming village of Fagagna with its medieval walls also invites you to linger. In San Daniele, you should take the opportunity to try the unique Prosciutto di San Daniele – a specialty that has made this region famous.

Day 3: San Daniele del Friuli – Codroipo, approx. 55 km

Today's stage of your biketour takes you through the vast plains of Friuli directly towards the fascinating wild river Tagliamento. This Alpine river shimmers in a variety of colors and is surrounded by an impressive landscape of poplars, alders and willows. Cross the impressive "Ponte Pinzano" bridge, with its wonderful view over the river, to reach the other bank safely before reaching Spilimbergo. The town of mosaic art invites you to take a relaxing break with its historic old town and the famous Mosaic Institute. Once you arrive in Codroipo, charming villas and squares await you, inviting you to relax.

Day 4: Codroipo – Marano Lagunare / Lignano, approx. 50 km

Today your biketour takes you through Friuli towards the picturesque coast! You cycle through the nature reserve of the Marano lagoon, which delights with its species-rich birdlife and impressive floodplain landscape. A highlight of the route is the magnificent Villa Manin, the former manor house of the last Doge of Venice, surrounded by an extensive park. A stopover in Latisana, a charming little town with typical Italian flair, cozy cafés and historic buildings, is well worthwhile. At the end of the stage, you will reach Marano Lagunare, known for its traditional casoni – thatched fishermen's houses – or the bathing paradise of Lignano, where numerous opportunities to relax await you.

Day 5: Marano Lagunare – Grado, approx. 40 – 70 km

Today's stage takes you via Cervignano del Friuli, a lively small town that is ideal for a short break, on to Aquileia. A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1998 and one of the most important cities of the Roman Empire, Aquileia impresses with its magnificent basilica and well-preserved mosaics. Finally, you reach Grado, the sunny island that welcomes you with its beautiful beaches and romantic old town.

Day 6: Grado – Gradisca d'Isonzo, approx. 50 km

From the Adriatic, you head back inland. You follow the course of the River Isonzo, which is known for its emerald green water. Along the way, wineries and rustic trattorias invite you to enjoy a stop. Gradisca d'Isonzo, a charming little town with Venetian fortress architecture, is today's destination on your biketour in Friuli.

Day 7: Gradisca d'Isonzo – Udine, approx. 65 km

A more challenging stage awaits you at the end. The route leads over gentle hills back to Udine. Enjoy the view of the picturesque landscape and take the opportunity to visit small villages such as Cividale del Friuli, which is known for its Lombard treasures and the Ponte del Diavolo bridge. Once you arrive in Udine, round off your cycle tour with a final dinner.

Day 8: Individual departure
