The Bike tour from Krimml to Passau is designed for enthusiastic and experienced cyclists who want to focus on longer stages and don't want to miss out on the fantastic atmosphere of the Tauern mountains and the Alpine foothills. But it's not just the scenery that makes this cycle tour along the Salzach, Saalach and Inn rivers so unique. It is also the many wonderful towns such as Bad Reichenhall, Salzburg or Schärding, the mighty monasteries, the longest castle in the world, the narrow gorges and the impressive high mountain reservoirs that make it so wonderfully varied. The Krimml waterfalls right at the start are a magnificent prelude. There is also a good dose of nature on offer during the tour. In the Europareservat Unterer Inn thousands of birds have set up their nesting grounds. Salzburg and Passau offer a contrasting cultural program, which need not be advertised as worthwhile places to visit. Their reputation as tourist magnets has long preceded them.
